Hi Sherelle, Yes we are here today at Matt and Sandee's. Slept over with the whole family. Having a blask. Kids are at the beach.

My parents called themselves Christians, but were not born again believers. They did not take us or make us go to church. The only "church" experiences I had in my childhood was at age 10, when I attended a summer program at a Baptist Church in my neighborhood, and the other was at a church family camp with a girlfriend, Jeraldine at age 13. Both were great experiences and I am thankful for the seeds that were planted in my life so long ago. From then till I was 31 years of age, I lived without Godly values and a solid foundation to build a healthy character. So my early teens and early adulthood were very confusing, unpredictable, unsafe, and I was very selfish, and lonely. I wanted so much to be accepted and to be acknowledged! I still do, but now I know that I am special in God's eyes and when I feel anxious, I know His Grace is sufficient! At age 30 I got involved in a great business opportunity and found myself in the company of wonderful young Christians. Over the next several months, Theresa, a long time friend, way back from kindergarten, shared testimony, after testimony, after praise reports, from the most simple to the supernatural! I was hooked and really wanted to be asked to church. My preconceived idea of church was boring, snoring, what is he talking about? But I was surprised to walk into an inviting, warm, and joyful place. I actually understood the sermon! I got saved that night and a week later was baptized in the Holy Spirit! God changed my life, the light went on and I could see clearly! There was still a lot of junk in my life. Some junk was gotten rid of right away, like my swearing language stopped and I stopped abusing alcohol. There was one big hurdle that needed to be fixed. I was in a relationship and living with this person for the last 4 years. I felt very uncomfortable in this relationship and as a new Christian didn't figure out why till a couple of months later. I asked Theresa why I felt so uneasy about the relationship and what I should do about it. She asked me a question that answered my question. She said, You are God's daughter. Do you think God would want his precious daughter to live with someone out of wedlock? I said "no" And there was my answer! So I moved out and moved on. Was it easy? No. I had to go through more heartache and pain, more trials and disappointments, but God was there and pulled me through. I'm blessed to have found a wonderful, loving husband, Michael, who continues to bless me and shower me with love and praises. We have two beautiful boys that are the best of buddies and are such a joy and a gift from God! I am thankful for the privileged life we have and for the people in my early single Christian years who made such a positive impact in my life.
