I grew up in the church all my life i was constantly surrounded by good christian people who really cared for me. When i was about 10 I accepted Jesus into my heart for the first time at summer camp. That was all good for the ten year-old me who had always known about God anyways and didn't have a choice about going to church or not. However 3 years latter when I was 13 in grade 7 I had become determinded that no one cared about me. I quickly drifted away from God aand became mean and hurtfull to my friends who cared the world for me. I contuined to go to church and sudnay schoool and youth group through that time in my life because I was not given a choice but it didn't mean anything to me anymore.
At the end of grade 8 my churdch held a "Princess Galla" it was for all of the teen girls in the church. an evening to let us know just how special we were. it was put on by some of our female youth leaders. We were all to show up in our best dress. So we all showed up in very formal dresses, not knowing what we were in for. The evening started off with a fellowship time and just hanging out then we were escorted by a couple of the guys from the church (who were dressed up fancy) into the fellowship hall which had been well decorated for the event. at that point we were served our choice of chese cake, cake, and tea. After that we played a couple of "princess games" (all related to various princess fairy tales). Then Rebecca (one of our wonderful youth leaders) gave her testimony. It was truly amazing once rebecca was done i don't think there was anyone who wasn't crying. Her testimony really spoke to my heart she had gone through a really rough patch in her life and really messed up some stuff in her life yet God chose to use her as a leader in our church and speak to her about a lot of things. And now that I know her better I think it is amazing how she got up in front of a bunch of teenagers and told us about how she had messed up but still got her life on track. That must of taken a lot of strength and courage for her to do.
That night I redeadicated my life to christ and since then have been living for the one true God! I have also been baptised and accepted as a member of the church. I contuine to grow in my walk with christ each day. I have also become very close with Rebecca she has shown me a lot and tought me a lot. Rebecca is pretty much the only person (other than Jesus) who i trust with ever aspect of my life. She is like an angel God sent to bring me back to the right path on my walk through life.
