I was raised in a Southern Baptist Church, at the age of 12, I wanted to quit church, there was no meaning or reality in it. My sister invited me to a Bible Study called Youth Ranch outside the church.
There were having a cookout that night, all you could eat for a quarter, so I went. There were about 150 teenagers there that night. They were all smiling and having a good time.
After we ate everyone was herded into a big room where we sat on the floor. There were a bunch of guys with guitars who led in some songs, it was more excinting than church.
Then the leader got up there and asked a question, "how many of you know that if you were to die tonight that you would go to heaven ?" He asked for a raise of hands, and just about everyone in the room raised their hands, I couldn't because I wasn't sure.
Then he shared that he could tell us how we could know wew were going to heaven when we died.
I listened intently and learned that eternal life was a free gift and that all I could do was believe that Jesus paid my sin debt. That night I made sure of my eternal destination.
I now spend my life as a full time pastor helping people find out the answe to that question.

For my 26 year old daughter who suffered a brain injury 13 years ago and has the mind of a two year old. Pray that God would help us get her on medicaid waiver here in Florida so that she can go to a day program during the week.
Also pray that we can start a special needs ministry at our church.
