I was fortunate to have grown up in a Christian household where both of my parents were and still are Christians. We went to church in a small town where my dad was raised, unfortunately we did not live in that town. As I started to hit my middle school years, it was eveident that I did not fit in with the rest of the kids that were my age since I did not go to school with them during the week. My parents stopped pushing the issue and did not force me to go to church everyday. Years later, my husband I moved to this small town and I started attending this church again but I really felt like there was a void in my life. Two years after we moved into this town, my husband got a transfer to Colorado Springs. We made it a point to try and find a church home and were very unsuccessful. During our move, I was fortunate to have a transfer with my company. One of my new coworkers was a childrens minister in a new start up church. I knew that God was working throught him and these new changes to create a new life for my family. Finally, we found a great church and I recommitted my life to God. I am amazed at how God works in mysterious ways to touch our lives.
