|
I was raised in a very traditional American Baptist church.
I walked down the church isle at age 10, and walked away as a teenager.
God got my attention as a senior in High School through an auto accident that should have killed me.
Up to this point I viewed Christianity as a list of rules that I knew I couldn't live by without breaking, and I was observant enough to see that nobody else could either.
This incorrect perception of Christianity was completely shattered when I met a man who showed me the truth and cared enough about my eternal destiny . . . to become my friend.
He was different from most people I had known who called themselves Christian.
It was like he and Jesus actually KNEW each other! He prayed, and God answered. Often in miraculous ways.
Through his discipleship and mentoring, I began a truly personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus became, and remains the Lord of my life.
God is good, and life is an adventure that must be pursued with His guidance. This is something that I intend to do, wherever He leads me, for as long as He gives me breath.
