Hi my name is Sherry and this is my testimony of God's grace and love for me!
It all began in Jan. 2008, when someone very close to me went into cardiac arrest. This person has tried for years to get me to go to church and to stop my partying and getting drunk and going to bars every weekend. I always use to blow em off saying "church isn't my thing." or "maybe one day.". Well God had a totally different plan for me.THANK YOU GOD! The day this special person collapsed it was like my heart was ripped out. I remeber standing outside the hospital talking to a GOD I didn't believe in asking him "Why? If you are there why wold you take one of your most faithful servant's?". It began to snow and as I stood in the snow I felt this peace. I then began to pray. This special person every sunday use to take my 5y/o to church. so when sunday rolled around and he was still in the hospital on the ventilator his wife asked me to please take my daughter to church for him! I told her where do I go? What do I wear? I was so reluctant. I did sunday morning get up and take my daughter to church thoug and as I walked in the door it was like I had a ton of things lifted off my shoulders. Everyone there shook my hand and hugged me like I had been goin there all my life. I sat close to the back alone as my daughter went to sunday school. The pastor was about to begin that day's lesson when a gentleman in the back behind me stood up and said "Pastor someone here need's to be saved quick before it's to late." and he began to cry. I began to have many mixed emotions. Was he talking to me? What should I do? then the pastor stop the service and lead everyone through the sinner's prayer and my heart began to melt and I felt the pressnece of God come into my life! The next day the special person to me was taken off the ventilator and awoke in his hospital bed and went home 2-3 days after going into cardiac arrest. I have been a EMT for 8 ys and lemme tell ya the only way to explain him coming out of that with NO deficits was only by the miriacle and GRACE of GOD! I now go to church twice a week, I am active in classes and etc. and I also teach Kids curch! THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
