Well, before saying anything about my testimony, I would like to thank God, for his grace. That he did send his Son to pay the price which we so deserved. For we all have fallen short of the Glory of God. But he still sent Jesus Christ to die for us.
I always called my self "Christian" I was raised Roman Catholic, going through all the traditions. My Parents are both "Christian" Father coming from a Protestant background, and my Mom coming from a Roman Catholic Background.
So I ended up being raised Roman Catholic, I was taught all the prayers, i was taught the 10 commandments. I learn that Jesus was my savior and he died for me. SO i believed that you just had to believe in Jesus your saved. I eventually thought what if you live a good life? then your saved right? So i ended up thinking everyone is saved if you live a good life.
I never knew about the Truth about God. That he wants a relationship with us. I thought God was distant. SO i started living life away from him, indulging myself in the World. Money, earthly love, Lust I didn't care about anything except me. Sure I was a good kid, but at the end of the day, i lived life for me. My own selfish wants.
It was my Junior year, when I got invited to a youth group in Dubai. I pushed the invitation a couple months.... But then I felt like giving it a try. So i went in February 2007. I can remember going in, and seeing all these people freely worshiping God. I just stood in awe, I thought to myself "why are they doing this? Who is God? is not he distant" And once the youth pastor gave his message. I wanted to know more. I kept going as much as i could, learning about how True God is, and how he does want a relationship with us, and that he does not ignore us!
It eventually led to me giving my life up for Christ! I was baptized the summer of 2007. I decided I wanted to live life totally dedicated to God. Little did I know that God was going to change my plans. I planned to go to the architecture school in San Diego the summer of 2008, But I am now going back to Dubai for a year to intern wit UCCD. I had my mind Set on going to architecture school, and getting a good job, and live a life dedicated to God.
But something drew me away from that. I felt a passion and love about talking about God, something drew me to want to the youth ministry. Theres SO many things in this world that tell teens "want this it will bring you joy, Drink this, it will make you happy." But the fact is, the Love that we all need, the one thing we Truly need, Is Jesus Christ.
I am now praying that God will show me where he wants me to Go... I love God soo much, I just want to follow his will and not mine.
