I grew up with alcoholic parents.  My parents sent me to church where I learned that Jesus died to save the world from sin. They didn’t explain about having a personal relationship with Christ.  I thought if I believed that was enough, but I also thought I had to ask for forgiveness for every sin or go to hell. 

I had a yearning to fill the empty spot in my heart.  I thought I needed to find someone to love me.  My parents began telling me I had to move out when I was eighteen, so when I met a boy who said he loved me I married at seventeen.  I had a child at eighteen.  My friend led me to the Lord when I was nineteen.  My Dad died, the next year my Mom died the following year my son died and then my husband left me a year and a half later.  I started going to church with a friend.  I met my current husband and invited him to come with me to church.  We were married, he accepted the Lord.  We started working with the Jr. Highers at our church about twenty one years ago.  Started as a paid Jr. High Director twelve years ago.  I have led many of them to the Lord and disciple many too. I go to a women’s Bible study every week. Do a Bible study five days a week.   Pray that God will lead me to someone who needs Him and that my eyes will be open to the opportunities He puts before me.  The one thing I do need work on is the discipline to memorize scripture, it doesn’t come naturally.
