As a child I always knew that I was different but just could not figure out why. At birth my mother abandoned me and left me to my grandmother to raised. I thought is was my fault that my mom didn't want me and raised my two younger sister's. I began smoking marijuana at age nine and had sex by age 12. By the age of 16 I lost my grandmother due to a heart attack and was alone. I was very sexually active and tried many different drugs. A friend of mine invited me to church so I figured I had nothing to loose. I remember the pastor praying over me and my friends and I fell to the fall. I began to speak in tongues but was so confused to what just happen. Needless to stay I was scared so did not return. The Lord kept calling me and people would come up to me with bibles and say the Lord wants to use you and wants you to come back home. Many would always stop to pray for me. When I was 18 the Lord came to me again where I surrendered. I was living for him for 5months and he delivered me from my drug and sexual habits. Honestly my flesh was calling me so after 5 months I left again. It is true when the Lord says sin no more or worst demons will come upon you because I began to sleep with men for drugs. I was raped, homeless, abused and abandoned by the age of 20. I had no education and slept wherever I could. I tried to commit suicide 3 times because I was tired of how my life was becoming. Deep inside I missed the lord and wanted to return to him. I was so lost and had no way of knowing how to get to him. I met my husband in 2001 and moved to New York with him. I thought having him in my life would fill the whole in my heart but still I was in such a deep depression and would cry daily. In December of 2006 I was tried of being alone and so lonely. I was tried of being a drug addict and I was hurting deeply inside. I remember the night the Lord finally came to me himself. I was sitting in my living watching Kings of Kings and the Lord was speaking on the mount. The power of the Lord fell so strong in that room and the room became so bright. I remember crying out to him and asking for hid forgiveness. I knew at that moment I would never be the same. To make a long story sort my husband and I got married on June 23,2007 moved upstairs from our church and became active members in the church. The Lord has ordained me a Sunday school teacher and has open many doors for me that no man can shut. I have been drug free for 1 1/2 years and we are in the process of adopting our first child. I also attend University of Phoenix online to obtain my college degree. My mom received salvation and has quiet smoking. I finally have peace, I have joy and it is all because of the grace of God. My life has changed so much and has blessed us so much. If you haven't ask Jesus in your life do it today and it would be the best choice ever. I now know who my daddy is and I now know that I am loved which gives me the opportunity to love others. Stay encouraged and remember Jesus love you and I do too
