About ten years ago in 1997 I started having very bad panic attacks together with depression episodes which sometimes lasted for days. I was a believer in God like many people but did not know him personally nor did I attend a church. Because of the depression I looked for God desperately and started going to a Catholic Church near my home. I became a member & experienced the Holy Spirit in a retreat that was held but after three years of attending I was the 'same' person I was when I fisrt joined. I remember going to a neighbor Pastor one morning w/ one of my depression episodes & I asked for his prayer and we talked about my problem. He told me that the 'word of God" ALONE cures and that if I was attending a Church for three years and I felt the same way that I was not receiving WORD. He said to me that I should attend a Christian Church ( not his ) but that there were many around. I listened and started going to a Christian church where I experienced something different and after one month of attending my attitude changed a whole lot. Even though we want God to work up a miracle in days or the same minute for us his time is different than ours. Progessively he worked in my life and after 6 years on being on medication, ongoing therapy & doctors who did not help me GOD the doctors of all doctors did heal me. I no longer had the need to take tranquilizers to live day by day (Xanax) and my outlook of life is very different than what it was. I Thank God everyday for letting me go through this experience because not only did I get healed but he uses theses trials in our lives so we can grow as people and spiritually. I had a second child who is healthy and whom my OB and Physichiatrist told me many times that I would get worse and that I could NOT have another child. With all the medications I was taking they even said my Baby would be deformed clef palate & all different sorts of things. I was treated with a high risk doctor because of the med's I was on but God was pleased in giving me a healthy Boy who is now 4 years old.
