I was 15 yrs old at church camp when I accepted Christ into my heart. I grew up in a Christian home, but never really accepted Him as my own until I was 15.
But then when I was 19yrs old, I moved out and moved far away from my home. I moved to Montana and for awhile I stuck to my faith, but just a few months after moving I met a guy who seemed so macho and seemed like he had it all together. I really liked that "bad boy" picture, but never thought it came with a price.
I told him that I was a virgin and wanted to stay that way until marriage, and he said he felt the same way, but after dating him for only a couple of months, I allowed myself to be alone with him, which was stupid, and he raped me. Though I was determined to leave him and call the police, he came to me the next day and apologized and begged for me to come back. I ended up living with him for 6 months during which time he continually beat me, and then apologized, and then beat me again, and the cycle continued. I lost my job, lost contact with my family, and lost myself along the way. I began to steal and drink - and even had to spend the night in jail once. I became someone I didn't even recognize.
One day I finally admitted my failures to God and asked him to come back into my life and make me whole again. I left my boyfriend, called my dad, and went back home.
God took me out of my dispair and gave me peace and joy that I'd never known. I used to think if I didn't have a man, I had no love. Thank God I've found the one who'll always love me perfectly and never let me down. Christ is the only one who can do that for me.
My husband (of 8 yrs) and I now have a wonderful family of 5. I still face trials and difficult times, but I know my God will comfort and strengthen me through all the tough times, and will rejoice with me through all the good times. Praise God!

My fav book is Faith Freaks by DC Talk. Just when I start whining about my life, I read that book and remember just how good I have it, and I also remember to pray for my brothers and sisters around the world who are being persecuted.

My 11 yr old daughter was taken from me by the courts and given to my ex-husband simply because I was homeschooling her. I do see her on the weekends and some holidays - but I want her back full time.
