I was four years old when Mrs. Brookens, my Sunday school teacher, told me about heaven. I remember how she told us how there would be no crying or sadness in heaven. She told us that there was so much peace that even the lambs would sleep with lions! Then she told us about Jesus and have believed in Him and what He did on the cross ever since. The cool part of the story is that my parents accepted Christ the same year! I got to see my dad go from Hinduism and transcendental meditation to being a huge part of our church's worship team and loving Jesus since then. I am one of the few kids that still has parents that have stayed together through all the hardest years of their marriage. They have been the greatest example to me of the love of Christ and how He can change the situations and hearts of all who choose to follow Him. I am so proud of my parents for showing me what it means to WALK out their faith. I went to a public school till 3rd grade then was giving the option to go to the new Christian school in Buena Vista, CO. I went there for four years and loved it. When they no longer offered any more grades, I had to go back the the public school. I was more saddened by what I experienced in public school than anything else. The kids were mean or apathetic, the teachers seemed indifferent and the curriculum was too easy to be challenging. From 7th grade through 12th, my attitude slipped a lot but I got involved in sports, music and drama. I always loved music but got great encouragement from my high school music/drama teacher. This is what changed me. I was accepted to a few colleges to study music but was joined a group called the Continental Singers the summer I graduated. Two weeks after my graduation I went on a 3 month tour across the US and into Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. We performed more than 80 shows that summer and traveled more than 80,000 miles. It was the start of the greatest adventure of my life. Since then I have been able to speak or sing in 17 countries and 48 states about the love of God. I met my wife on a later tour, sang in Great Britain for nearly a year, and had the chance to meet the greatest people on earth...God's people. Now I am a husband, father, friend and business owner. Eight years ago I met a group of business owners that love God, love our country and love people. I have been working along side them ever since and see the Lord moving in the lives of many hurting and lost people just like I did on all my travels. The difference? I can now have relationship with these people and help them affect change in their lives through many more ways than just a short song, drama or concert. I love being involved in people's lives and am the happiest I have ever been.
