Hi Sue I Loved your testimony, God is Amazing! I Glorify him that he saved you, and I praise him that he had people guide you to him. I too was Catholic, but I got hungry for God, and I myself started to read the bible, getting to know him better, and He has taught me so much, and lead me with his holy spirit to the truth, and now the holy spirit leads me to people that need to be saved. I give all the Glory to our lord and savior Jesus Christ. I thank him for sending me a new friend and sister and Christ :) Stay in the word, and keep maturing in him (Jesus). Love and God Bless You and your family:) your sister in Christ Jesus Izzy

Thank you for sharing your testimony. As we are both caregivers, you will find TYT a real source of inspiration and strength. Through fellowship w/others in the faith on this site, I find strength, inspiration and relief from the stress that comes w/ caring for a gravely ill loved one. I'm sure you will, too. PTL for TYT!

Sue's Testimony
The day I was born again was Tuesday, February 13, 1990. The weather was cold and raining, and it was about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I was in my office located in a group home for adolescents. I remember the details of that day as if it were just yesterday. I had come to work for the agency just 6 months earlier. I was a house parent, and program manager. The administration and several members of the staff were really nice people, but there was something so unique about them. They started every staff meeting with Bible reading and prayer. This set them apart because they prayed different than I had ever experienced prayer. I had been raised Catholic but had given up on religion a few years earlier. I believed there was a God, but most of what I heard and saw from these 11 staff members was a foreign language to me. Still my curiosity about these people and what they had that made them special began to grow. I finally figured I would try their religion. I found out where they went to church and learned it was "non-denominational." So I picked a different "non-denominational" church to attend in January of 1990. I chose a different one in case I did not like it, they would not push me to return as the pressure was on and I was not about to 'cave in.' After a couple of weeks, I filled out the visitor's card and checked the box for the pastor to give me a call. When the call came, I was not sure what to say other than to ask...What makes you people so different? He was a sweet man, and guided me thru the gospel. I did not own a Bible, but listened to what he said. When he invited me to pray and ask Jesus to be my Savior I accepted. Right there on the phone! My life changed profoundly.... Prior to meeting Jesus, I lived my life like a mouse in a maze. I ran full speed on alcohol, pot, or pills...then I would run into a wall, get arrested, get detoxed, get depressed, get suicidal, get locked up again, get cleaned up a bit, get a job, get money and start all over again. NOW that is all changed. He is my everything. I may not have a lot of profound words to put it into writing, but I don't need words, I have His. He is my provider, my protector, my counselor, my healer, my God. His love for me is non stop, and unconditional. He never fails to forgive, He understands my pain, and gives me strength for all of the trials of this world. Not one day of my life goes by unnoticed by Him. He delights in me as I delight in Him. He never gets tired of me. He hears all my complaints. When things just don't make sense, its okay with me, to just be still...and I know that He is God, He is in control. He created all things, and nothing is hidden from Him. His promise to never leave me or forsake me is true.
