I was raised going to church every week.  There was rarely a Sunday I missed.  At age six, I became baptized and dedicated my life to serve God.  I beleive that this was really a time of discovering who God is and declaring my belief in him.  When I was 14, through fear of eternal death and tribulation, I gave my life to Christ realizing that only he could save me from Hell.  However, once I graduated from High School I decided that I was all on my own.  I still beleived in God, but I felt as though I was invinciable and that no harm could ever come to me.  I decided that I was going to live my life on my terms and make my own choices...without God.  It is okay to be independent and be able to make you own choices.  However, I did not understand that no matter how independent you are, you can not do anything without God.  You can do everything with Christ (Phil 4:13) but nothing without Him.  So instead I put my faith in another person who decieved my greatly.  I always beleive that you have to fill you Spirit with something. If you fill you Soul with another person or believe in something that is not real, then your life will not be fruitful and life with be meaningless. Just read Ecclesiastes, one of my favorite books.  Thanks to the love of my father, I was rescued from that horrible life and came home.  I was then pregnant and unmarried.  Many people looked down on me for being a single mom, but it was a choice I made that I could not run from.  Slowly, I found a new church that accepted me and my son and I began to turn my life around.  I am still growing in my faith and suppect that I alway will.  I have a calling to help others that are in similar circumstances understand the Power, Grace, Love, Mercy, and Glory of God.  I want everyone to know my story and know that no matter how your life has turned out, that God loves you.  He gave you a gift, now it is up to you to open it and to put it to good use (John 3:16).
