Wow, where do I start? My mother has loved God ever since I can remember and she was the best person I knew, so I always knew that there was something about God to be reckoned with...I remember asking Jesus into my heart as a small child but I didn't know how to apply Him to my daily life. One reason that I described myself as "The Religious" was because I always had some kind of respect for God but that didn't stop me from the sinful life I was living. Once I hit 14, I was pretty much rebelling and putting myself in a lot of bad situations and dragging my sister and friends along with me. I was an absolutely horrible teenager and very selfish! (Can I borrow the truck dad, I want to go by the gas station? My parents didn't see me for a couple of DAYS) There was nothing better than partying to me back then. Fast forward a couple of years. I was 19, living with my boyfriend and a couple of other people. Find out I'm pregnant. Wow, O.K., stop doing all the parting and figure my boyfriend will too. Nope. Near the end of my pregnancy I'm helping out at the church my mom goes to and pretty much going to church with her every week. One Sunday, I feel the presence of God. It filled me up all the way from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. All those emotional needs I had been looking to be filled by whoever was my boyfriend at the time were filled completely. The first thought that went through my mind was. "Wow, I'm not even high or drunk." I will never forget that!! My life did a 180 and I've been living for HIM ever since! Since then God has been my provider, my companion, and everything I need. The Word came alive to me and He has taken me places I never knew possible!!
