I was saved when I was about 7 years old, and 2 of my best friends from childhood did it with me. At the time, I knew what i was doing but I had no idea that the impact it would have on my life would be this great. I was always raised in the church, and even though there have been times when I would not go and stray away, I always come back. One of my biggest tests of faith began when I was in college. My fathers health began deteriorating and I was trying to juggle work, school, and home. I hit a brick wall and began to feel like I was trapped. So I began looking for other avenues and outs. I finally realized that God was really trying to show me somethings when I began having breakdowns. I had 7 breakdowns in 6 months, went to see a psychiatrist, but somebody had to have been praying for me because I began applying for jobs in the airlines and I found my home. i began working as a flight attendant, moved to Chicago and was "living the dream" as we say. However, in December of 2007, things started taking a turn for the worst. I began having problems with my stability, constantly feeling dizzy and nauseated, and was diagnosed with vertigo. Came home to see my doctor and he coincided with the doctor in Chicago. I went through a few tests, one being a CT Scan, and the results came back abnormal. There was a cyst growing on the left side of my brain that was about the size of a quarter. We were trying to avoid any kind of surgery, and it took everything out of me to perform even the smallest activities that I would normally enjoy. I was on bedrest for a month and a half to 2 months, constantly going to see different doctors. But When I went to se my neurologist and had an MRI done, that cyst was gone. I believe in and know what the power of prayer can do. It is something so powerful that a lot of people underestimate it. But I am so glad someone was praying for me. I still have a few symptoms with the vertigo and still suffer from migraines sometimes but I know that everything is going to be fine because there was a time when I couldnt even sit on the computer and type, or simply get up and go into the kitchen to fix me a plate of food. God is so Good!
