I went to church ever since i was born but it was only because my parents had always gone, and since i was a kid i always went where my parents were. Yes i was the sunday school student who answered all the questions and did all the scripture reading but everytime i went outside of church i was a whole different person i didnt care about that stuff, thats just for church i thought. Then when i was 9 years old i went to a church camp named Binger and there i felt the holy spirit tugging on my heart saying Kelton let me be in your life let me save you. I then accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Being Baptized at my church the following week. A year after that our church was going through some tuff times and made some changes my family didnt want to make so we left. We then started going to FBC Cole, and at first i didnt feel comfortable i missed my old church i had so many memories there. Then in 2007 i went to another church camp named Falls Creek the most amazing experience that had ever happened to me in my life other than being saved. There i had a burning desire to serve Christ being called to go into ministry as well as my best friend Dalton Floyd who is a big blessing in my life. I then went back to school that same year on fire for the Lord and then day by day, week by week i started backsliding until i was part of the in crowd. At my church then, a lot of things had changed such as my youth minister had left being called to be in ministry is Hawaii. My brother then applys for the position and gets accepted in our church as my youth pastor. Seeing this new grown passion that was inside of him i looked at how he had changed and then i looked at myself and i knew that i wanted that back that compassion towards others, the encouragement he gave to people my age including myself. I then went back to Falls Creek 2 more times growing everytime i went, learning more and more how to grow in my walk with Christ. Then me and my fried Dalton started an echo group to reach this generation telling of God's love and compassion. Kind of like accountability partners but also christian friends that share Christ's story with others. I pray that God will touch your life as he has touched mine giving me guidance and hope in a better future.
