Hi Kelsey, it's good to be TYT friends, thanks ! I'm always honored and blessed to meet young people who are on fire for the Lord. Thank you for serving God and spreading His Word through your Mission trips, Amen. Have a wonderful time in Cali :-)

I have grown up in a Christian family, so I have always known about God. I went to church camp every year, prayed every night, and tried to go to church as much as I could. Even though I have always known about God, I have not always had a relationship with him. I always had opportunities to get closer to God but chose not to because I thought it was too much work. I didn't want to give up worldy stuff, and I did what I wanted to but was never completely comfortable with the life I was leading. I was always looking for someone or something to fill a void, to make me happy. I was never on fire for God but I was never completely distant from him either. I was just in the middle, and I knew God wanted me to make a decision, either him or the things or this world. I went through a point where I almost didn't believe anymore, Satan had got to me, and I started to believe what non-Christians were telling me. Before that, I just believed in God because that's how I was raised and I didn't really know why I believed. This period where I questioned if there was really a God, I started looking for answers and going deeper into Christianity.
This period made me a stronger Christian because now I actually know why I am a Christian and who God is. About three years ago at church, my paster came up to me while we were praying and told me that he felt like God wanted me to know that he loved me. I have heard for all my life that God loves me but it didn't really hit me untill them that he really does have an endless love for me. Awhile after that, I made an impluse decision to go to church camp, a decision that changed my life. In just one week, I grew closer to God then ever before. I also felt God calling me to be a missionary. I looked up to certain people for the strong relationship they had with God and I saw how happy at at peace they were and it made me want to become closer to God. I started reading my bible and I couln't stop. I was addicted and it made me feel happier. What once was something I dreaded doing was now something I wanted to do everyday.
Finally, I felt at peace because I knew that God would take care of all my fears and worries. I knew whatever he was doing was for the best because only he saw the bigger picture. I recently came back from a missions trip in Mexico and it completly changed my life. God showed me how amazing he is. I saw miracles that week like never before. I saw God work through people and the amazing things he can do. Each day I'm getting more and more closer to God. He is always there for me, loves me unconditionally, and wants the best for me. He has amazed me countless times. Now i know about God, but I also am starting to know God.
