Fast forward to December 5th 1999. Still going to church, feeling good about my new life , but still drinking and driving! That Sunday morning I came to early service as usual. Did I mention this was a small church at the time, averaged twenty-twentyfive people first service. First thing I noticed was that the man and his son that were usually ushers weren't there. Found out why when the pastor announced that the son (Mark David) had been involved in a car accident! He was the passanger The Friday night before on his way home from a football game(played drums in the band). A drunk teen driver crossed the center line and hit the car he was riding in head on.  Mark David was brain dead but kept on life support until Sunday morning so his heart and other parts could be harvested for donation. The pastor, Brother Bill asked us all to join hands and pray for the family and while doing this I admitted to myself and confessed to God that I was an alcoholic and prayed that he would help me overcome this. December 5th of this year will be nine years since I had a drink and I give God ALL the praise and glory for for this. I am now involved as a youth volunteer and have been for seven years, I teach Sr. High Sunday school, make a joyfull noise in the praise group(can't sing). I love my God, my family, my church and church family. I love life and I love telling this story to anybody that will listen. God Is Good.....All The Time!!!
