Throughout my teens I suffered from anorexia, bulima, and depression.  I was hurting so much that all I wanted to do was die.  I hated myself, and I was hurting so much that I just wanted it to end.   I used to pray that Jesus would let me die so I could be with him in heaven.  He seemed to be the only one in my mind, that thought that I was worth it.  I didn't feel loved, I felt that I had to earn it.  I was always afraid of being hurt and abandoned by those around me.  I did not really trust anyone, and trusting Jesus was just as hard even though he had the best track record of being reliable than anyone else.  I was brought to doctor after doctor.  I was even admitted into hospital for trying to kill myself. 

 

Things started to turn around for me when I decided to teach overseas for a year.  Within a month of being there, I had decided to trust Jesus and make him Lord of my life.  During that year, Jesus healed my heart.   As long as I was walking with Jesus the suicidal thoughts, depression, and self hatred were gone.  I found worth in myself through Jesus. I have had difficult times, but I know as long as I am walking with Jesus everything will be alright.

 

I have been a born again christian for nine years and since then Jesus has blessed me with lots of brothers and sisters from my biological mom and her husband, my biological father and his wife, and my adoptive parents. I have been reunited with my birth mom, and with my birth dad.  I have learned to forgive, and now I am working on developing a relationship with both families.  My adoptive parents are still very active in my life, and I love them so much...they are still around after everything.   I know that all three sets of parents love me very much, and I am very happy to have them in my life.  I have had the opportunity to pursue a post secondary education perhaps even up to a masters degree, perhaps PhD.  I am in my last year of my undergraduate studies.   My passion is psychology because I like to know how the brain works and why we behave the way we do.   I know that Jesus will use me for his kingdom...and that is exciting.  Thank you Jesus for saving my life, and for saving my soul...I am trully the daughter of the King of Kings
