I really appreciate your concern about the comment I made. Some people feel like they'd be prying, but God know's that sometimes we need someone to reach out and say is everything o.k. thanks again Crispy.Be absolutely, undeniably, without a shadow of doubt BLESSED this day and always in Jesus name. |
As a kid growing up in a JW home, I always knew there was a creator, Jehova. I remember talking to him as a child. Feeling that there was a purpose to my life. I knew I was here for a reason. I just didnt realize he was it. That is until middle school.
I hated school. I had no self-esteem. I had no friends. I was just exsisting. Then one day in the middle of the seventh grade, a girl came up and asked if I would like to go to church with her. I was shocked. Was she talking to me? I agreed to go. I met these amazing teens who loved Jesus. I didnt really know who he was. I just knew that I wanted to feel all the time how I felt when I was around those kids. I also knew about this place called hell. I didnt want to go there either, and if this Jesus dude could give me all that, then I wanted Him.
I sat on my bed one night and just wept. Crying out to God to save me from hell. I believe he did. That night I was saved. I tried desperately to serve him the best way I knew how. But I was only a girl living at a home with an absentee dad. I had no support system. So, I just went back to the world.
Well, I am sure all of you saw the Everything skit on Godtube. If you havent, watch it! That is my testimony. I allowed all the things of the world to draw me away from the one who first loved me. But I always heard him calling. He finally became so loud in 1999 that I could no longer ignore him. I came running back to his arms and we have been dancing ever since.
I dont often let him lead. That is my problem, I want to be in control. But I have had my feet stepped on several times and have fallen enough to know that He is truly the one who needs to be in charge.
It is now 2008. I am not the same person I was 9 years ago. I am not even the same person I was yesterday. I am a new creation. I am His Daughter. I dont want to be anything else.
